What They Said
AJ
Thank you very much for all the hard work you must have put in arranging the Karno even yesterday. I think it was most interesting and a great success.
Simon Kitchen (Grandson of Fred Kitchen)

A J,
May I thank you sincerely for a very interesting and enjoyable afternoon at the cinema museum. I was enthralled by you and the others who contributed to the history of the FRED KARNO troupe of players.
Best Wishes, David Luck.

Hi AJ
I just wanted to say a BIG 'Thank You' for the excellent afternoon on Saturday. Your expertise, knowledge, and wealth of material coupled together with your humorous and respectful presentation made this truly a unique occasion. For the connoisseurs of classic comedy (or should that be Klassic Komedy), you honoured Fred Karno and his Troupe with appropriate fanfare and dignity. Thank you.
Best wishes, Rogerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Robinson (Laurel & Hardy Appreciation Society)

Dear A.J.
Thanks again for yesterday - which was a huge success. What a line-up - and particularly the Whimsical Walker and Fred Kitchen descendants. Thanks again for your incredible organisation of the event.
Best as always, David Robinson (Official Chaplin biographer)

Dear AJ
Thank you for a memorable day and all your hard work. Have learned a great deal and made some new friends. We are talking of it all the time.
Very sincerely, Brian O'Gorman (British Music Hall Society)

Hello AJ
I thought it was a very good day - I enjoyed it, and everybody seemed to be having a good time. I was amazed at how many of the people there seemed to be related to Fred Karno.
Dave Locke (Cinema Museum projectionist)

Dear AJ
You did a wonderful job, it was fascinating to see all those people. The Cinema Museum was an excellent idea of venue, and they made us very welcome. Thanks very much for letting me be part of the Karno reunions - and for all the hard work you put into them both. This one far surpassed the 2010 one, onwards and upwards!
Kind regards, Kate Guyonvarch (Chaplin Archive - Paris)

Hello "A.J."
Thank you for presiding over such an interesting event. I met up with a number of folk from my very distant past and encountered other people with whom I have only had internet communication.
Barry Anthony (author Chaplin's Music Hall)

Hi AJ
Just a quick note to say a big thank you for all your hard work organising the event on Saturday. I really enjoyed the day, and the other guests that I got chance to talk to. The museum was a superb choice of venue and the 'commissionaire' made it really special.
Thank you again, Andrea Douglas (Fred Karno's granddaughter)

Hi AJ
Many thanks for a brilliant day. I met so many lovely people and found the whole day interesting and funny. Congratulations on organising such a successful event!
Best regards, Karen Nesbitt (The Royal Zanettos)

Dear AJ
Congratulations on the organisation of a very interesting event. I enjoyed every minute of the day, and was in my element surrounded by people who are enthusiastic about Fred, Charlie, Stan and the rest of the company. If you decide to repeat the event or plan similar events, I shall be delighted to take part.
With best wishes and kindest regards,
Robert Holden (aka: Commissionaire 'Morris Hardcastle')

Yes, we enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone and the whole day was memorable. Once again thanks, and I shall keep in touch.
Keith Ripley (Mike Asher relative)

We wanted to thank you for your hard work organising the event on Saturday which we thoroughly enjoyed, shame it overran but I think everyone got a lot out of it.
Dave and Deb Crump (Fred Karno researcher)

Hello AJ,
Thank you for a laughter-filled and informative day, and also a big thank you for allowing me to be a part of the day.
Kind regards, Tony Butcher (Laurel & Hardy Appreciation Society)

Hi A. J
Thanks for a good day. It all made the trip all the way from Australia worthwhile. We've discovered many things about our family, and Whimsical Walker both senior and junior. I felt the presentations were great, and those that participated got a lot out of it, I know I did.
Well! Keep in touch and thanks for everything.
Rob Breen (Whimsical Walker relative.)
